Debris refers to the remains of destroyed ships left at the location of a battle. Debris can be collected by Recyclers and turned into credits.
The amount of debris left after a battle is a percentage of the total cost of the destroyed ships. The percentage is twice the destroyed ship owner's armour technology. No debris is generated by damaging ships or defences.
Debris is found as debris fields, which can range in size from a few to millions of credits. The presence of a debris field is indicated by an asterisk (*) when viewing a system. Multiple asterisks indicate larger debris fields.
Diplomacy[]
Debris often plays an important role once a war ends, with a losing guild often surrendering debris fields to the victorious guild. Debris fields can be divided up amongst a victorious coalition of guilds, or used to pay for the services of mercenaries.
Debris Stealing[]
Debris stealing involves a player not involved in a battle collecting from a debris field. It is considered a serious breach of etiquette by almost all players. Often debris stealing can result in a kill on sight (KOS) declared, with diplomatic implications for guilds.
